Position Overview
The Software Development team is seeking energetic, motivated and talented engineers to be part of an Internship Program designed to provide the candidate experience in Software Engineering related to the development and deployment of business solutions. Ultimate goal of this position is for both the Candidate and Surado to evaluate each other for long term employment opportunities with a competitive salary and benefits package. Candidates may also have an opportunity for paid part-time employment after the completion of their internship.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities include the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of application development platforms and tools/utilities in conjunction with knowledge management responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity of working in a variety of technical environments. Depending on the aptitude of the candidate, the person in this role may be contributing to multiple projects at the same time with varied technologies.
Familiarity with LAN & WAN environments and networking concepts. Experienced with web programming languages; MS Visual Studio and Visual Studio .NET a plus but not necessary. Database knowledge and experience a plus but not necessary. Internet/Intranet development concepts. Strong design and analysis skills. Strong problem solving and debugging skills. Ability to quickly understand, apply and adapt to new/emerging technologies. Understanding of development projects within the organization. Application development skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload and multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work well within a team or individually. Ability to plan and estimate own work. Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
Position requires current enrollment that will lead to a of BSc Computer Science or BSc Computer Engineering or Equivalent; or Masters in Information Systems or Computer Science or Computer Engineering. At least 2+ years of college course work completion.
